Guizhou is located in the southwestern part of China.Its provincial capital city is Guiyang. Guizhou adjoins Sichuan and Chongqing Municipality to the north, Yunnan to the West, Guangxi to the south and Hunan to the east. Major cities of Guizhon are Guiyang, Zunyi, Anshun, Liupanshui, Kaili and Qianxinan, Qiannan and Qiandongnan Autonomous prefecture.
Guizhou province is made up of 9 prefecture-level divisions, 88 county-level divisions. It is one of the province that contains the most minority groups. The minority groups account for more than 37% of the total population and they include Yao, Miao, Yi,Qiang, Dong, Zhuang, Buyi, Bai, Tujia, Gelao and shui.
Guizhou has many covered bridges, called Wind and Rain Bridges. These bridges were built by the Dong minority people. During the first lunar month, the early festival in Kaili celebrates local culture with acts of bullfighting, horse racingt, pipe playing and comedy works.
