Beijing-Hangzhou Train Travel and Ticket Booking Notes:

  1. Trains listed above operate on daily basis and trains marked with * are deluxe trains with 2-bed luxury cabin. Price for bottom luxury sleeper is CNY 993 Yuan and price for upper luxury sleeper is CNY 951 Yuan.
  2. Advance ticket reservation period is 20 days maximum. China has world's busiest rail system, we suggest you reserve the ticket in advance to make sure your travel plan will not be delayed. Advance ticket booking period may be shortened to 3-5 days during "golden week" holidays such as China National Day (October 1-7), Chinese Spring Festival and etc.
  3. D train using CRH2 system and G train using CRH3 system are well known as high speed bullet trains. G trains are equipped with 2nd class seat, 1st class seat as well as business class seat or VIP seat. First class seat and VIP seat have multifunctions and they can even be used as sleepers. There is neither hard sleeper or nor soft sleeper on the G train.
  4. Sleepers on K train, T train and 4-digit trains are classified into two types: soft sleeper and hard sleeper. Hard sleeper has three sub-categories: upper hard sleeper, middle hard sleeper and bottom hard sleeper; Soft sleeper has two sub-categories: upper soft sleeper and bottom soft sleeper.
  5. Most Railway stations and ticket agencies sell tickets of different places. For example, you can buy Shenzhen-Guangzhou train ticket while you are still staying in Beijing City.
