5. On the normal speed trains including 4-digit train, K train, T train are two types of sleepers: soft sleeper and hard sleeper. Hard sleeper has three sub-categories: upper hard sleeper, middle hard sleeper and bottom hard sleeper; Soft sleeper has two sub-categories: upper soft sleeper and bottom soft sleeper.
6. Advance ticket reservation period is 11 days. China has world's busiest rail system, you are suggested to reserve the ticket in advance to make sure your travel plan will not be delayed. Advance ticket booking period may be shortened to 3-5 days during "golden week" holidays such as China National Day (October 1-7), Chinese Spring Festival and etc.
7. Railway stations and ticket agencies sell tickets for different places. For example, you can buy Shenzhen-Guangzhou train ticket while you are still staying in Beijing City.

   Good Afternoon,
   We are coming from Finland to Beijing and Nanjing as a tourist trip in 18th of February to 26th of February. Our flight (by Finnair) will be in Beijing 7.55am in 18th of February. Our plan is to take a train (G train) to Nanjing directly. Our challenge is to find out the right train to Nanjing at the right time, enough time from airport to railwaystation etc. We are five people, me and my five and our three children. Children are 11, 9 and four years older. Which train you prefer and how to organise reservation? Thank You very much.

   As you can see on this page, G trains depart from Beijing South Train Station for Nanjing. You can take a taxi or subway (use this link for Beijing Subway Map: http://www.beijingchina.net.cn/transportation/subway.html)to get there from Beijing Capital International Airport.
   You should leave at least 2 hours after arriving Beijing Airport to take the train for Nanjing as you need time to leave the airport, travel from airport to railway station and etc.
   Another thing we want to tell you is: according to China railway regulation, children under 120cm don't need to pay for train travel and children between 120cm-150cm have right to purchase discounted ticket. Children ticket price for a seat is about a half of that of adult ticket and children price for sleeper is about 75% of that of adult ticket.
   Since you want to continue travel the same day after arriving Beijing, It's a pity to tell you we can't help you to reserve ticket requested as we don't deliver ticket to airport or railway station. In another word, to reserve ticket through us, you should have a hotel address in Beijing.

   Ticket reserved in advance seems to be a challenging one. Are trains in Saturdays so full that we need to make reservation in advance or is there any other reason for that?    As you know, we have world's largest population in China which makes it's very very busy for railway networks most of the time, that's why I advise you reserve ticket in advance.
   Yep, an alternative way is to reserve deluxe seat which may be same or even higher than flight ticket in price. For example, business class seat is RMB 1405 Yuan and special class ticket is RMB 850 Yuan each on Beijing to Nanjing G train. You have lots chances to successfully purchase deluxe seat ticket on the journey day.
